P3 Day 4 and 5

LIW Weight: 232
Today's Weight: 232
Gain / Loss: 0

Thanks to you all for your comments on P3. I have been experimenting just a tad bit but have made protein the main portion of my meals. I have been trying to make sure I have enough fiber in my body to keep regular, hence the reason for the cereals and high fiber toast. I did stop eating the cereal and bread in the morning but did eat some cornbread with my dinner. Please understand it was not a large piece but more like a 2 inch square.

What did I eat:
Monday - egg white omelet w/cheddar and turkey breast, apple, chicken breast, string beans, bacon cheese burger, strawberries, 150 oz water (I did lose one pound after eating this but gained it back last night)

Tuesday - egg white omelet w/ cheddar and turkey breast, apple, 2 slices baked ham, slice of roast beef, 1 spoon potatoes, green salad w/ FF vinaigrette dressing, strawberries, chicken breast, string beans, steamed plantain, strawberries (dinner), piece of cornbread (made it for my kids and HAD to taste it), 150 oz water. lol.

If you look at those 2 days, it is primarily protein. The potatoes and the plantain are the only items of concern which I rarely eat. I will probably eliminate these items since I got my fill and don't want to risk anything going haywire.

P3 Day 2 and 3

LIW Weight: 232
Today's Weight: 232
Gain / Loss: 0

P3 has been interesting thus far. I have been dieing to eat a few forbidden items and did partake of some while avoiding others. The bonus weight I lost on the last VLCD has been recovered. I will make sure I stay within this weight the best I can.

What did I eat:

Saturday - 1/2 cup fiber cereal w/skim milk, egg white omelet w/ Cheddar and turkey breast, 1 slice whole grain bread, apple, Kashi bar, bowl of chili w/cheddar cheese and piece of corn bread.

Sunday - 1 cup fiber cereal w/ skim milk, egg white omelet w/ cheddar and turkey breast, 1 slice whole grain bread, apple, 4 small meatballs, 4 chicken wings, 1 tablespoon BBQ pulled pork, cup of chili w/ piece of cornbread and a few spoonfuls of cheesecake.

Sounds like a heck of a lot and probably why I gained what I did from the last weight. I attended a friends holiday party and there was quite a bit of food that did not make it on my plate. I did not drink as much water as I usually do and that too was a factor.

Let me share with you my cooking. I made a huge crock put of chili. This was the best chili I have ever had in my life, if I must say so myself. I won best dish at the holiday party. I also make homemade cornbread, unbelievable. Finally the cheesecake, my God this was good. It was and eggnog cheesecake w/ rum caramel sauce. I over did myself on this one and won first place in the dessert category as well. I really love when my food comes out good but love it more when people enjoy it. My boys are my best critics and I take pride in feeding them. They loved it all.

Ok, back to earth now. It has been interesting and tempting so far and I cannot wait for Jan 5th to get restarted. I did get quite a bit of kudos for the loss and all the friends saying don't lose more but I have a plan and they will be in amazement when I get done.

Also, I loaded my friend and her brother and they will be VLCDing it today. I will let you know how their first day goes.

P3 Day 1

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
LIW Weight: 232
LIW Losses: 56.5
Today's Weight: 229.2
Overnight Loss: 1.2
Total Losses: -59.3

Another loss of 1.2 on P3 day. Almost 60lbs in seven full weeks. I have never in my life had this great of an impact. Thank the Lord for this blessing. I will be moving my stats to the right and will be tracking the LIW and gain/loss. Thanks to all of you who read my blog and share your thoughts and comments. I will continue posting daily and then resume P2 Jan. 5th. I will have a few friends coming along for the experience.

Thanks Biz for the advice. You are such a wealth of knowledge and Dr. S. would be proud. lol. I did decide to follow the good Dr and start P3 this morning. I will post my menu tomorrow, hopefully with food data. I am really gunning for a balanced attack but with a focus on protein and fiber intake.

There is one thing I am happy about with P3 and that is the ability to apply lotion after a shower. Man my skin was happy. Mineral Oil just doesn't moisturize as well and I am happy with the return to skin moisturizing. Of course there are other benefits and I will speak on them as they are experienced.

Well off to finish my final exam.

VLCD Day 54

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
LIW Weight: 232
LIW Losses: 56.5
Today's Weight: 230.4
Overnight Loss: 1.0
Total Losses: -58.1

Still going!!!! Another pound gone overnight. This is too nice.

Tomorrow is the start of P3 but I am considering doing one more day of VLCD because I do not feel the hunger that many have experienced transitioning to this phase. I am wondering if all the HCG has been removed from my body. Has anyone else done this? If so, let me know how you felt. The 72 hour rule is a bit confusing to me because you take the hcg, you have basically a skip day and then one more day for it all to leave your system. What I am gathering from this is it only take 1 day for the HCG to leave your body. Biz, please enlighten me. I will post tomorrow how I feel and what my decision will be. I have been dieing for some chili so maybe that desire will dictate my decision. lol.

VLCD Day 53

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
LIW Weight: 232
LIW Losses: 56.5
Today's Weight: 231.4
Overnight Loss: 0.6
Total Losses: -57.1

Thanks ladies for your input on the LIW. I have updated the tracking to reflect LIW and will continue to track the losses / gains throughout phase 3. I am not sure how I will be reporting my daily numbers as it tends to add too much to the post. I did lose .6lbs yesterday and not sure what today and tomorrow will bring. I may use that beginning P3 weight as a secondary LIW. I think it would keep me motivated.

I went window shopping yesterday and it was nice to try on smaller sport coats and suit coats. Of course you really can't buy anything when you know by end of February who knows where you will end up. I did however buy a couple pairs of shoes. Some of my normal size shoes were big on me so I guess you lose fat in your feet too. lol. I better be careful as I may have to re buy at a smaller size.

Injection 47 (LAST ONE), VLCD Day 52

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 232
Overnight Loss: 0.2
Total Losses: -56.5

Well folks today was my last injection for this round and 72 hours of VLCD. It comes at the most perfect time as there a many events coming up this weekend that I will be participating in . Saturday is P3 day and I have my menu all figured out. I will be focusing on protein intake, limit carbs and fats. I am also considering hitting the gym for the 3 weeks. I am not sure what the impact will be on me keeping withing the LIW. By the way I have to get a better understanding on the LIW number. I imagine it would be my weight on the morning of P3 because you still lose until the HCG is out of your system. Please let me know if I am wrong.

It has been a marvelous run and I am so grateful to God, Dr. Simeon, Kevin T. and HCG. This has been a blessing for me and I sing he praises of it daily. I have shared with countless people who although see the results in me are still naysayers. Man, what a mentality to have. They will always be stuck in this rut and keep trying the things that will show no result. I just hope their eyes open and make shedding the bad fat a priority. With all the ailments that come along with being obese I don't know why folks don't get it. Anyway, i will keep them in my prayers.

My friend and her brother will be starting on Saturday. I am very excited for them and will make sure I keep a very watchful eye on their progress as this is coming from my recommendation. I figure they have about 3 or 4 rounds to go and will be there for them no matter what.

I have to order more now but cant seem to get the free shipping from DD. Anyone know the coupon code to use? Please let me know.

Injection 46, VLCD Day 51

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 232.2
Overnight Loss: 1.0
Total Losses: -56.3

Another one bites the dust. 1 complete pound lost overnight. Great result. There maybe something to this tomato thing after all. lol. Thanks to CB and Biz for the comments. Biz, you may be right about the body getting confused with the introduction of something different. I will keep it going though. Nothing to really discuss today so...

Injection 45, VLCD Day 50

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 233.2
Overnight Loss: 1.6
Total Losses: -55.3

Wooooowwww. Didn't expect that but I will embrace and give thanks. I think there is about 2 or 3 shots left in the vial and the more I lose the more I just want to stay on the HCG. I just cant wait for January 5th to get back on but in the mean time I can"t wait to see what happens tomorrow.

It is funny how I too look in the mirror and admire the person looking back at me. Your confidence level goes through the roof when you see such a great improvement. Its like Marshall was saying about the clothes. I did the same exact thing this weekend. I cleared all the size 42 pants out of my closet and will be donating them to charity. I would much prefer to donate the knowledge of the protocol to the masses. My XL shirts are fitting fairly loose but I wont change those out until I reach my goal. I told my mother she will not know who I am when I visit for Christmas. I can't wait to surprise her.

Do tomatoes have anything to do with increasing the loss? I am not sure but I have been eating tomatoes as my vegetable of choice for the past 4 days. I will keep eating them until I am done with this phase.

Injection 43, VLCD Day 48

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 235.2
Overnight Loss: 2.2
Total Losses: -53.3

Gimme a whoop whoop. A loss of 2.2lbs. I could not wait to share with my HCG family. I am so loving this and wish I could just keep going but I know I have to take a break.

Have a great Saturday.

That's all for now...

Skip Day, VLCD Day 47

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 237.4
Overnight Loss: .6
Total Losses: -51.1

Another .6 bits the dust. Nice move in the right direction. I have been feeling so full for the past couple days and have to remind myself to eat. That is amazing in itself. lol. I look forward to seeing what results present themselves tomorrow.

Thanks Marshall, B and Biz for the advice. The thing is I remember always being 235 for a major part of my adult life so trying to get there would be ideal. I really don't want to waste the HCG and having only about 4 more shots it might be worthwhile to see what happens. I know it is not a race and am assured that I will reach my goal but it feels so good to see even that .2lb drop in the morning. I am addicted. lol.

I have this bittersweet feel about getting to phase 3. Its like I am looking forward to it but am afraid of the the unknown results. I see some folks struggle to stabilize their weight but I also see people who have no issues. P2 makes things so easy by giving you a set solution that you must follow and you see the results. P3 gives you more freedom and you must be cautious in your decisions. We will see.

Injection 42, VLCD Day 46

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 238.0
Overnight Loss: .2
Total Losses: -50.5

Another .2, man things are getting slow. It seems as if I am going to crawl to the end of this round. I am hoping to drop 3 more pounds before starting phase 3 but I hope my body will oblige me.

Biz, I know what you mean about he stall but what is KWIM? I put my foods in fitday.com and it returned 502 cals so I am not going over on the calories. I will just have to put away the foods I have cooked and measure raw again for the next week. What do you guys think about me not taking a skip day since I am no where near immunity? Let me know your thoughts on that one.

That's all for now...

Injection 41, VLCD Day 45

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 238.4
Overnight Loss: .2
Total Losses: -50.3

Every little bit counts so I will take the .2 and run with it. lol.

I have been full for the past couple days and have to almost force myself to eat to get the 500 calories. The water keeps me motivated because I know once those fat cells fill up they will will leave my system for good. I keep looking forward to the next major drop and the flush that comes with it.

I have to confess that I started weighing my food after cooking it. I am not sure if that will cause any issues. Since I grilled the fish I am not certain if the 100 grams is too much. When you put your food choices into Fitday the calories are not always correct unless they have uncooked as the choice. When I weighed the food with the 100g after cooking it it would be about 85 to 90g so not sure how that impacts the loss. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 238.4
Overnight Loss: 2.4
Total Losses: -50.1

50.50.50, a half century has been removed from my waistline. What a monumental goal. Thank God, Dr. S and HCG for this milestone. It feels like such a relief to almost be at 235, which was where I have been most of my adult life. I can wait to break through that goal and keep on truckin'.

Biz and Amy thanks for checking on me and cheering me on. I have about 8 more days of HCG left and I will then jump on P3. Keep cheering for me as I approach the finish line of Round 1.

I have finally gotten my friend and her brother on board with the protocol. We ordered her supplies last night and will be ordering the HCG this week. DD sent me an email about specials for the holiday so we are waiting to see how much of a savings they will offer. I will share with you folks when they share the information.

Skip Day, VLCD Day 40

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 241.4
Overnight Loss: 2.2
Total Losses: -47.1

Yesssss. That is awesome. Thanks for all the vibes you ladies are sending me. It seems to be working. lol. I have been eating chicken breast and tomatoes all week and lookie here. I wonder if that little cheat I did jumped started things because it has been a successful week thus far. I just hope to keep going in the right direction. Even if it did I will hold off until I am done to partake of another piece of heaven.

I have been reading all the blogs on Biz's page and see many people having a hard time drinking water. I am not sure what advice I could give you on this to have you increase your water intake but I will share with you my daily routine. I come to work and head straight for the cafeteria and fill up a 50 oz bottle of water, a 32 oz cup of ice water and a 20 oz cup of hot water for tea. I sip on the cup of water first to quench whatever thirsts may be present and then sip on the tea until done. The hot tea then warms me up to where I need water to cool off. I then pour the bottle water in the the cup and then sip on that until it is done. I keep refilling the cup so not be intimidated by the large bottle. I do this in the afternoon as well minus the hot tea. I don't know if that will help you keep your mind off of the water but it works for me and I get about 200 oz of water per day. This really aids in getting the fat stores ready to burst and makes going to the bathroom easier.

On the ordering of the HCG, I tried to order from the site but they require a minimum 200 dollar order and will not process less than that. Oh well. I did however placed my order with DD and had a 15 dollar coupon code (test15) which brought my total to 69.98. I am not sure if that coupon is one time use but give it a try to see what happens.

Injection 36, VLCD Day 39

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 243.6
Overnight Loss: 1.4
Total Losses: -44.9

Another 1.4 down, don't ask me how that happened but I will gladly take it. It feels so good to be back on track and the end of R1 is almost here. I am dieing to sample another piece of that Christmas cake. lol.

Thanks to everyone for the comments yesterday. I need to make sure I put in my second order by tomorrow, the latest. I found an alternative to DD that costs less. They sell a 5000 IU for 15 dollars and the shipping is about $9. Here is the link: http://www.ortpharmacy.com/hcg.htm. I found this link on another HCG forum but I have not ordered from them. The folks recommending it said it was reliable and fast. I will give it a shot and let you folks know how it works out. Keep your fingers crossed so maybe we can save a few dollars and time over DD.

With regard to the 50...just keep sending those vibes my way. Thanks to you guys for all the support and for sharing your journey. It keeps me motivated when I read all our your successes as well. If we were on the Biggest Loser show I guess we would have to sneak the HCG because the cameras would be always on us and I am sure they would class it as an unfair advantage. lol. It does feel good not to have to work so physically hard to achieve this loss. I do miss the gym and will be going back to tone up and add muscle mass but for now I am just loving getting up in the morning and seeing results.

See you all in the morning...

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 245
Overnight Loss: .6
Total Losses: -43.5

Yeaah for me. lol. It does feel good to be back home. Imagine if I can keep losing at this rate for the rest of P2. I only have 6.5lbs to go for the 50 mark and that would be a most welcomed accomplishment in this first round. Its funny that I am not even on P3 and am looking forward the the second round. I know it not a race but you just want to get there and have that total transformation.

Have any of you watched the Biggest Loser? I wonder if you are allowed to use HCG to supplement your loss. Could you imagine how easy the money would come if you could get use it. I wonder if there would be a conflict with the exercise portion as it seems we tend to gain when doing more activity. That too is weird much less counterproductive. My friend asked me if I exercise and I gleefully responded nope. This is while she is getting on the Treadmill to exhaust herself. She has shown some interest but not sure she is ready to get on board. With the holiday looming I am sure this may not be a good time to start.

Speaking of holiday, I wonder if there will be a shortage of HCG when the new year kicks off and everyone is on their lose weight resolutions. I am going to make sure I order my stuff before the end of this month to avoid any delays in getting the next batch. I will be starting on January 1.

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 246.4
Overnight Loss: 0
Total Losses: -42.1

The good thing is I didn't gain anything from my small cheating yesterday. I actually lasted 5 complete weeks without even being tempted, which makes me proud.

I made it back home safely last night and feel back on track thus far. I did stick to it while in NY but there is a certain level of comfort when you are back home. Maybe its just me but we will see how I do from here until the end of the round.

Injection 32, VLCD Day 35

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 246.4
Overnight Loss: .2
Total Losses: -42.1

WoooHooo a .2lbs loss (sarcasm). Well its better than a gain. lol.

I am heading back home today so maybe next week things will be a little more stable. Tomorrow begins week six and I still have about 2 weeks of HCG left. I will most likely keep going until its finished.

B and Amy...I stuck it out yesterday but had to sample a small piece of my sister's Christmas fruit cake this morning and it was gooooood. I can only imagine what the repercussion will be. If I am lucky I will be like all the others who partake of a little reward food and still lose. Keep your fingers crossed for me. lol.

Injection 31, VLCD Day 34

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 246.6
Overnight Gain: .6
Total Losses: -41.9

I guess the after shower theory doesn't work all the time. I went up .6 and have no idea why but there will be some correction today or tomorrow. Who knows.

After reading all the blogs this morning and seeing the folks who enjoyed their Thanksgiving grub I wish I had partaken in that joy. Some even lost after enjoying their delightful spreads. Maybe I will sample my sister's Christmas cake today and see what happens tomorrow. By the way she does put rum and wine in it by way of blending it with the fruits and pouring it over it to keep it moist. Very nice.

We are off to do some shopping this morning and I still have homework that has to be turned in tonight and tomorrow so I should be running around all day. It is freezing her in NY and will be only 39 degrees for the day. Will be bundled up especially since being slim keeps you cold. lol.

Skip Day, VLCD Day 33

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 246
Overnight Loss: 1.6
Total Losses: -42.5

So I got on the scale this morning and weighed 247 and then took my shower and came out weighing 246. Ohhh, joy. lol. I will definitely take that for a dollar. Next Monday will be week 6 and I really wonder where I will end up after that. I would really love to drop a total of 60 on this first round. Where ever I do finish I will be happy with it and I know it will never come back. That is truly the joy of it all.

I am still in NY and luckily didn't have the temptation of the Thanksgiving spread that all of you had. Since I was on my protocol and its just my sister, her kids and I she didn't have the urge to go through any big cooking. It is also a sad time for her since she is going through a divorce. I am glad I was able to come spend the holiday with her and especially today since she had to go to work and I am babysitting. I have an 11 yr old nephew and 2 yr old niece. So I leave my kids with their mother to come babysit...isn't that something. Well so far so good as I have not forgotten everything I did with mine. lol.

There was one temptation though; she decided to bake me a Jamaican fruitcake for Christmas. The whole apartment smelled so so good. I made sure to fight the temptation while her and the kids taste tested it. Mine will be in the freezer until Christmas and before the beginning of round 2. Guess what I will be loading with. lol. I just cant wait to get to the point where I can indulge like other people and not have to worry about blowing up again. Ahh, happy thoughts. lol.

That's all for now.

Injection 30, VLCD Day 32

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 247.6
Overnight Loss: 1.4
Total Losses: -40.9

HAPPY THANGSGIVING TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

After dropping 1.4 overnight I have finally broken the 40lb lost milestone. It has taken me 2 weeks to drop 10lbs. I guess my body was trying to rebel. I wonder if that was the stall that Dr. S. was speaking of when he mentioned the last remembered weight. I hope it is fast moving now because my next last remembered weight is 235.

We dont have much planned for today and there wont be any food temptations since my sister is not really into the cooking thing. I knew I would be safe coming here but if I stayed home there would be way too many temptations at my friends' houses. They will have all the goodies that would drive me nuts not to have. lol.

I hope you all enjoy your day and for those of you still on P2 keep the focus and avoid the temptation. For you all on P3 or P4 enjoy for us who are holding it down.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Injection 29, VLCD Day 31

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 249
Overnight Loss: 0
Total Losses: -39.5

Nothing lost Wednesday. I arrived in NY late Tuesday night and was in court with my sister yesterday so didnt have time to log in. I stuck to the protocol to a T but now patiently waiting for my body to do its thing.

Injection 28, VLCD Day 30

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 249
Overnight Loss: 1.6
Total Losses: -39.5

Well the body does it again and drops 1.6lbs. I have finally broken the 250 mark and close to the 40lb milestone. My hope is that tomorrow will produce that milestone achievement. If things can continue without a stall I think my next challenge will be at 235. Like I said I am not really going to sweat the increases or short stalls because there will be an automatic correction.

Thanks to you all for responding to my concern yesterday. I have now accepted that there is fluctuation with this protocol even if you try your best to follow it to a T. It is the little things that you don't think will impact your progress that get you every time. I don't know if I have had any impact with preparing my meats like some folks have. I, like CB, don't want to use gloves to apply lotions and Vaseline to my little boys. I too wonder what they would think. The other thing is my hands get dry to its also a relief as the mineral oil only does so much.

Tonight I am off to New York to visit with my sister. I have packed everything I need to be prepared for this trip including most of the foods. I should have enough to last until I leave on Sunday. I already explained to her that I will not partake of any tempting treats while there and will be eating only what I bring or cook while there. It should be a challenge but will not give in. I was there in September so hopefully she will see my loss and get on board as she needs to lose some too. I will work on her.

Talk to you all tomorrow.

That's all for now...

Injection 27, VLCD Day 29

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 250.6
Overnight GAIN: .6
Total Losses: -37.9

UGHHHH, over a half pound gain and I have no idea how this happened. I promised to stop trying to figure it out and let it be. I did take the time to reread the manuscript to see if there was anything that I may be missing but nothing. Oh well, such is life.

Let me ask you readers a question. Do you think putting Jergens lotion on my kids face or spreading a little Vasaline on his lips would cause a gain? I think I will purchase some latex gloves to use when doing this again. Just to eliminate any possibilities.

Thats all for now...

Injection 25, VLCD Day 27

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 250.4
Overnight Loss: 1.8
Total Losses: -38.1

Another 1.8 gone. That is truly a positive move for the weekend. Stating the obvious here but I only have 1.9 until the big 40. Send me those positive vibes so I can break that milestone. I want to again thank my cheering section and I appreciate the time you spend reading my blogs and leaving me supporting messages. I really enjoy reading each of yours daily to get my days started.

Did I ever mention how much I love HCG and Dr. Simeon. l0l. I mixed a fresh batch of HCG this morning for the second half of Round 1. It is so much easier to do it a second time. I actually mixed it in 3 seperate 10ml vials and keep them in foil to protect from the light. It limits the removal of on big vial. The reason this happened is because I ordered the 5000iu and 5 10ml bottles then realized I needed the 30ml bottle. Next round I will order 1500iu to mix once a week and keep it fresh.

Well wish me continued blessing as I embark the second set of HCG usage and thanks again for your support.

Skip Day, VLCD Day 26

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 252.2
Overnight Loss: 1.8
Total Losses: -36.3

I lost 1.8lbs last night so I give up on trying to figure this out and just will go with the flow. Thanks for those that supported me as I whined about the gain. I wonder if this is like thunder and lightning...you know you see lightning first and then hear the thunder later. The "whoosh" in the bathroom is lightning the the measured loss is the thunder, it's just delayed. Heck of an analogy, huh.

Have a ton of work to do today so can't post much.

That's all for now...

Injection 24, VLCD Day 25

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 254
Overnight GAIN: .2
Total Losses: -34.5

A .2lb INCREASE, WTF!!!!!!!!!!!I know I have done well thus far but I would like to konw how this happened. I was in the bathroom all day and thought man I should have a 2 pounder release but to my surprise I get this. I will share what I ate yesterday and tell me where I went wrong.

Breakfast - apple
Lunch - crab cake (seasoned crab meat, 1 crushed melba toast), 8oz. steamed spinach
Dinner - 100g baked chicken breast, 8oz ,steamed spinach, 1 melba toast
Snack - 1/2 grapefruit w/1/2tsp Splenda
Water - 150 oz
Tea - 20oz w/Splenda

Fitday puts me a little below 500 calories but I dont see how I wouldnt lose with all the flushing out. After what Amy reminded me of in the manuscript about water filling the fat cells and then whoosh, I thought I had it made. This has been the worst results week thus far and I hope the next two will be no way like this. Tomorrow is my skip day and Saturday will be a new batch of HCG. I hope that kicks this protocol back into high gear.

Rant over. Now back to our regularly scheduled update.

Well after that disappointment I dont know what to expect from here on out. Will I have to do an apple day? I will be fine with that. My body is stuck at this 254 mark and need to get over it. lol.

Today is our corporate Thanksgiving feast. The will have turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, breads, cheescake, applie pie, pumpking pie etc.... So you know I will not be leaving my office. lol. Well, I will test my dedication to this and grab me a sald to go with my chicken breast. Really, I am not even worried about it.

I will keep my head up and stay positive.

Thats all for now...

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 253.8

Today has been very busy so not able to post too much. Lost .8 last night so that is good.

I will post more tomorrow. Have a great day.

Injection 22, VLCD Day 23

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 254.6
Overnight Loss: .8
Total Losses: -33.9

The scale moved south .8lbs today. That's a good thing. I think my body has known this weight for some time and hope it will forget qucikly and drop down to my next plateau of 235. lol.

Thanks to Amy and Amie for reminding me of how fat difuses from the body. I drink about 200oz of water daily so things should keep on moving. Also, I will keep using the current batch until complete and then work through the second one completely and then do P3.

Not much to really talk about today. Stay positive (as I am trying to do) and focused.

Thats all for now...

Injection 21, VLCD Day 22

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 255.4
Overnight Loss: 0
Total Losses: -33.1

Had no loss last night. I am not too thrilled about it but hey things must be happening so as I stated yesterday, I have to remain patient and let the body do its thing. The Lord will give you the things you ask for in life but gives it to you in His time not yours. That is the toughest thing to adapt. The other thing is we didnt get this way in 6 weeks but the expectation is to lose it all in 6 weeks. What a twisted way of thinking. lol. I am still trying to get my mind right.

I was thinking I should start a new batch of HCG since I have been using this one for 21 injections. I still have about 4 more shots in the bottle and really dont want to waste it but not sure if it is losing its potency. Give me your thoughts on that idea. I would probably keep using it and then stay on until the second bottle is finish which would of course extend P2 by about a week. I have seen others go beyond the 40 shots and not develop immunity. By the way, I am not hungry at all and there is some activity so not 100 percent sold on creating the new batch.

That's all for now...

Injection 20, VLCD Day 21

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 255.4
Overnight Loss: .4
Total Losses: -33.1

Lost .4 yesterday. My total losses at half point is very comforting. Its funny to see the .1 but its greater than the whole. lol. I guess the new scale is no longer new so I removed the tag for this. It is working perfectly and I am happy with the results.

What have I learned halfway through this process? I learned to be patient and let my body do what its wants when its ready. I was very excited when the large numbers were evident but dissapointed when there was minimal or zero reductions. Once you trust in following the protocol, it will deliver as promised. In the end you will embrace evident and non evident changes in your body. I have also learned that its amazing that 500 cal. of food sometimes feel like a thanksgiving spread and sometimes you have to force it down.

To those coming on board, be desciplined and steadfast in this venture. Dont cheat. Stay focused and appreciate the changes, current and future. We all have been finally given the roadmap to free us from this bondage and its actually pretty easy but only if your mind is right. Before you start get your mind right and everything else will fall into place.

Have a good rest of your weekend and wish me continued success and hopes to duplicate the first half. Thanks for reading.

Injection 19, VLCD Day 20

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 255.8 (new scale)
Overnight Loss: 1.8
Total Losses: -32.7

Down another 1.8. Great start to the weekend, now have to make sure I stay on track and keep busy so I dont start those cravings. As I said before its a lot easier at work so here we go.

Thanks again to all the lovely ladies who read my blog and provide me inspiration and support. It is good to have a "family" to support you as you work toward your goals. We will all get there and will be doing it together.

Well, its my weekend with the boys and time to put on my chefs hat and start taking breakfast orders. lol. Have a great Saturday and see you in the morning. lol

Skip Day, VLCD Day 19

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 257.6 (new scale)
Overnight Loss: .4
Total Losses: -30.9

I only lost .4 lbs and I know any loss is a good loss. I try to keep that in the forefront of my mind when this happens. I am wondering if the curry chicken I have been eating is causing a slow down. Any thoughts, let me know. Dr. S. says we can use seasoning and I can't imagine the curry powder having a negative effect on my body, but please enlighten me (especially Biz). Amy made a suggestion to give the citrate of magnesium a try (have used it in the past with great success). If tomorrow doesnt improve I will give it a shot and go back to eating fish and shrimp.

Today is my 3rd skip day and so far the so good. Just trying to force myselft to eat as I have no appetite. Last night I fried some ripe plantains and man did they smell good. The boys loved them so tonght they will get that as well as the curry chicken and rice. I will do some jerk shrimp on the grill with a tomato. Oh, if you cant tell I am jamacain. lol.

I want to give a HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout out to my friend Erica. I am trying to get her onboard but she is scared. She is getting married next year and wants to lose 3olbs but wont take the plunge. I will keep working on her. lol.

That's all for now...

Injection 18, VLCD Day 18

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 258 (new scale)
Overnight Loss: 0
Total Losses: -30.5

So I didn't lose anything last night, darn. At least I know something has to be going on with my body becasue again I have not deviated from the plan. I can most times tell when I am not going to register a loss. Its like I feel it in my body and the scale confirms that feeling. Yesterday was strange for me as I felt overstuffed at 8PM and had to force down my dinner. I had baked fish and spinach, melba toast, water, grapefrut. That is what I usually have but last night was almost unbearable. I also didnt spend time in the bathroom so that too would show no release. I wonder if it was because of the hour of day that I chose to eat. I tend to have dinner around 7PM so not sure. Well I did het the bathroom today and will eat my dinner at 7PM as usual and hope I get back to feeling like I have been and look for a 2lb drop in the morning.

I got a couple compliments and folks noticing my reduction yesterday. Made me feel very good about myself and know that things are falling into place. My friend asked what I was doing and I told her I would send the manuscript. I tried to explain what was involved but it is too complicated and would rather have someone read the book than have me explain it. The funny part was when I tried to explain what HCG is and shared that it is used in fertility treatments and she was forget about it. She just had a little boy a few months back and was like not going there again. lol.

Temptation was present yesterday as I had my boys and they wanted ice cream for dessert and I sliced up a fresh pineapple for them. It smelled so good and I am looking forward to the day I can make a protein shake with pineapple, yougurt etc...They enjoyed it and I made sure to keep my focus.

Injection 17, VLCD Day 17

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 258 (new scale)
Overnight Loss: 2.2
Total Losses: -30.5

Another major milestone accomplished in such a short time. Can I get whoooot, whooot. lol.

The new scales is awesome, not just becasue of the reduction but it saves me from having to calculate those little numbers. lol.

Not much to really report today. I am just glad things are flowing nicely.

Thats all for now...

Injection 16, VLCD Day 16

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 260.2 (new scale)
Overnight Loss: 4.3
Total Losses: -28.3

As you can see I did purchase a new scale as the other was not functioning properly. To my surprise I dropped 4.3 overnight. I am not sure how valid that one day drop is since I couldnt get a true reading yesterday. I jumped on the old scale for comparion sake and it showed an increase of .5lb form yesterdays weight. I guess I will be retiring that one and keeping the more favorable unit.

The scale I purchased is a Heatlh-O-Meter that stores your last weight and calculates loss/gain over the last weight. It is large enough to accomodate my size 12 feet so I am comfortable using the numbers provided. It also increments by .2lbs versus the .5 of the old scale, which omitted the minimal drops that really mean something. The one thing I noticed is that my weight fluctuated from first rise to after showering. It actually dropped after showering. Man, I am dirty. lol. Anyway, I am going to use the after shower weight from now on.

I have to share with you how good my curry chicken was last night. Seasoned perfectly and I tell you the temptation to eat more than the 100g was there but I know its just a matter of time where it will be possible. Eating 1/4 of a chicken breast vs a whole one is hard. The greatest thing is I dont even think I could manage it since I am not at all hungry.

That's all for now...

Injection 15, VLCD Day 15

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 264.5
Overnight Loss: 0
Total Losses: -24

I had an interesting experience this morning with my scale, which will lead me to purchase a new one today. I weighed myself after going the bathroom and it showed no loss so I weighed again and no loss. I always weigh 3 times to make sure I have a constant new weight but on the third weigh it showed a loss of 1lb so I weighed again and it showed a gain of 2lbs and then a loss of .5lb and then a gain of .5lb. That was frustrating so I said the heck with it and will say 0lbs lost and hope the new scale doesnt hurt my progress.

What is interesting is that I cleaned my house yesterday and got a nice sweat going and was thinking I am burning a lot of calories and must drop at least 3lbs but that was not the case. I wonder how this works because I could do nothing all day and lose 2lbs but be active as ever and lose 0. Any thoughts, let me know.

Anyway, I am getting tired of cucumbers but not so much spinach. I have a 3 vegetable rotation so cabbage is the next side. I made jerk shrimp kabobs, steamed shrimp and baked catfish and have been enjoying that. I hope for favorable results tomorrow.

Thats all for now...

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 264.5
Overnight Loss: 2
Total Losses: -24

It has been a great two week run with losing 24lbs. I hope to repeat for the next couple weeks. The Lord has been good to me and to him I owe all success. Thank you all for checking in to see how I am doing.

Dont forget to set your clocks back today and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 266.5
Overnight Loss: 2
Total Losses: -22

Nice, a 2lb loss after nothing yesterday. I can definitely see some changes when I look in the mirror. My clothes are starting to fit a little less snug. By the way did I say how much I hate skip days. lol.

It's off to getting the day started. Will update tomorrow.

Thall all for now...

Skip Day, VLCD Day 12

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 268.5
Overnight Loss: 0
Total Losses: -20

I am not as concerned with this 0 loss as before. I know I am doing everything right and this is a part of the experience as your body does its shifting and movement of fat. I am sure tomorrow will yield a loss.

Injection 12, VLCD Day 11

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 268.5
Overnight Loss: 1.5
Total Losses: -20

Can you say today is a good day? I can and for many reasons but non better than 20lbs of fat flushed away for good. After losing 1.5 last night I have hit my first goal with 4 milestones to go.

For those familiar with accounting; weight loss uses the LIFO method of accounting. That is the Last in First Out. What I mean by that is the last fat to come on is the first to leave. I generally gain in my face last and now can see a difference there more than any where else. My friend said I am starting to look more like my son, Christion, as my face reduces. He is truly a little mini-me except slim. I know he is just 10 and all but he has this swagger about him that I would like to emulate. lol. Imagine that, me wanting to be like my boy.

Here is a funny tidbit. I never really liked apples because all I was really familiar with was the red one, McIntosh. After starting the protocol I have discovered some apples that are just excellent. The first I fell in love with was the Galla. It was just juicy and had the greatest flavor. Another is the granny smith for the day I just have an urge for that tart flavor and most recent the golden apple. Nice distribution of flavor. All are very satifying. Figured I would share my likes and maybe provide reccomendations to others who cant stand apples. lol

Thats all for now....

Injection 11, VLCD Day 10

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 270
Overnight Loss: 2.5
Start of Phase I: 10-20-07
Total Losses: -18.5

Wow almost at 20lbs lost in less than two weeks. That is amazing and I continue to be grateful to the Lord for making this possible. I prayed for a 2lb release and God blessed me with 2.5.

Speaking of blessings, I never shared how I happened upon this miracle. I had hurt my back in late September working out in the gym trying to lose the weight. After a week of suffering I finally went to the doctor who suggested I ice my back all weekend. That meant sitting at home and not having too move movement. So I woke up early on Saturday and turned the TV on and got caught up in infomercial world. The first was this great kit for weightloss and thought that was interesting. The funny thing is I didnt change the channel as I would normally. After that show another one came on touting how to lose the fat. This one really caught my intererst but thought yeah right. It was Tredeau trying to sell his book. After hearing his pitch curiosity really got a ahold of me and I proceeded to search the internt and WOW my life change began. Again, talk about a blessing in disguise. Thanks to Tradeau for bringing this to light and especially to Dr. Simeon for his diligent work.

In addition to the weight loss there is another benefit that I have been experiencing wht HCG. It has mellowed me out and just keeps me at peace. It seems like I can let things roll off of my back a lot easier and relax.

Well. that's all for now.

Injection 10, VLCD Day 9

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 272.5
Overnight Loss: 1.5
Start of Phase I: 10-20-07
Total Losses: -16.0

Well another 1.5 down for good. I guess things are back to normal and look forward to my weigh in tomorrow.

I want to give a shout out to my homegirl Robin W. Thanks for reading my blog and checking on me. It was nice catching up with you at Shoppers, even though it was cold outside. lol. Whenever you are ready to come on board let me know cause I got your back.

Not much to really say since things are moving as planned and I am being steadfast on following the game plan.

That's all for now...

Injection 8,9, VLCD Day 7,8

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 274.0
Overnight Loss: 1.5
Start of Phase I: 10-20-07
Total Losses: -14.5

Well after being quite annoyed about not losing an ounce for 2 days my body finally followed the protocol and dropped 1.5lbs. I was so frustrated that I had no desire to post the result yesterday. I am quite relieved of the recovery and will be able to take the next 0 loss in stride. I must thank all the folks on the HCG Yahoo groups for their response to my unsatisfaction and support. One poster hit it on the head when she said I would drop 1.5lbs. Well I will continue to forge ahead and stick it to the T.

That's all for now...

Injection 7, VLCD Day 6

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 275.5
Overnight Loss: 0
Start of Phase I: 10-20-07
Total Losses: -13

I have to vent....

I am not a happy camper this morning. I did not lose an ounce overnight. Not sure what happened but I will go to eating baked fish and spinach for the rest of the protocol if this happens again. lol. I know I am overreacting and should be thrilled with 14 but 16 would be better.

I took my shot this morning and feel like things will be back on track today.

Skip Day, VLCD Day 5

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 275.5
Overnight Loss: 2
Start of Phase I: 10-20-07
Total Losses: -13

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.

I guess I need to update my profile to reflect my newfound age. I dont feel any different hitting the big 35 but so much wiser. lol

Anywho...I didn't get the exact present of 5lbs lost but am happy with the 2lbs dropped overnight. So, the honeymoon may be over with the 4lb average but who knows.

Today was my skip day and it wasn't too bad. I did get a few hunger pangs but ate my melba toast when it came on and drank alot of water. Tomorrow should be better since I will take my HCG again. I wish our bodies werent so smart as it would be nice to not have to worry about immunity.

So, many of my friends friends called and wished me a happy birthday and asked to take me out for drinks and dinner. I had to take a raincheck due to the protocol. If I were a salesman selling HCG I would have gotten rich today as I shared this blessing with about 4 of my friends. I really hope they come onboard since we are all battling the buldge plus it would be nice to have our little support group to help each other along. We will see who is sincere about trying to get the fat off. I know I am and will not Lose. I have a couple weddings coming up next year and I want to ensure I am ready for prime time.

Well that all for now...

Thursday, October 25, 2007

Injection 6, VLCD Day 4

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 277.5
Overnight Loss: 2.5
Start of Phase I: 10-20-07
Total Losses: -11

Another 3.5lbs gone. Man that is awesome. I would really have liked to keep losing 4 per but I know it is unrealistic. My thought is once my back gets better and I am able to hit the gym for some cardio and light weight training I may be able to keep a higher amount of lose compared to the 1 to 2 lbs. Don't get me wrong I am VERY thrilled with how things are going. Like I said yesterday, its nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Tommorow is my skip day and I am hoping I wont go into starvation mode. I am sure things will be ok as many users have survived the break. The weekend will be a challenge for me, eatinwise. Its much easier to control your eating when you are at work because there is no frdige or freezer to just run into. I also have my kids this weekend and have to cook for them so that will be tempting but will be strong.

Oh, by the way. I did sleep well even thought the rain was falling as there was no dripping to awaken me. I actually oversleptl lol.

Tomorrow is my birthday and the best present would be a 5 pound drop. I will pray for it.

That all for now...

Injection 5, VLCD Day 3

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 280
Overnight Loss: 4.0
Start of Phase I: 10-20-07
Total Losses: -8.5

Wow...4 more pounds gone overnight. That is incredible as I have taken a couple weeks to reach that total on previous weight loss missions. I hope this keeps up.

The funny thing is how much of a cost saving approach this is to losing fat. I was spending a ton of money on supplements that claim to loose weight only to not lose a darn thing and end up just throwing the money away. This is by far the greatest investment I have made and its amazing when there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is actually in reach.

I am glad I had a successful weight loss event because I was so annoyed this morning because it rained and there was a leak in my roof that was dripping on the ceiling my room. Did I share that I am a very light sleeper and was awakened at 4am. I had to break out the ladder and head into the attic to identify the leak and do a little band-aiding until I get a roofer. By the way this issue is not new but it has been so dry here I just didnt focus on getting it fixed. Anyway I did burst a sweat going to the basement for the ladder and hauling it up to the 3rd floor and climb into the attick. I think that helped me loose a couple more ounces. lol

Tonight should be Ok so I will be well rested for tomorrow. I just so look forward to the next day just to see what my results are. I would equate it to looking forward to seeing that girlfriend you left for a week. Just excited and know good things are coming. lol

That's all for now....

Tuesday, October 23, 2007

Injection 4, VLCD Day 2

Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 284
Overnight Loss: 4.5
Start of Phase I: 10-20-07
Total Losses: -4.5

Well I must say that I am quite happy with the overnight reduction. I was thinking how great it would be if I could lose this much everyday until I reach my goal. That would be a whopping 21 days, that would be too amazing. lol.

So far so good on the hunger. Still getting used to eating this small amount of calories but I keep drinking water and tea to stave off the hunger. My hope is to not have any hunger at all like many have experienced. I enjoy drinking the water but the only drawback is having to run to the bathroom every few minutes. This kills when you are in a meeting with your boss and in the middle of a presentation. lol

I made some awesome baked catfish and spinach. Had that for lunch yesterday. For dinner I had steamed shrimp and spinach. Today I again had the catfish but with sliced cucumbers splashed with vinegar and a sprinkling of black pepper. It hit the spot as I was getting the stomach growls.

Thank God for Dr. S. as I now have a very easy to follow plan that will yield the results I have been looking for.

That's all for today....

Injection 3, VLCD Day 1

Start Weight: 285.5
Load Weight: 288.5

Good day all....

Today is the first day of the VLCD. Not sure what to expect but still feel confident that I will stick with this plan. I am still a tad bit concerned about mixing the HCG and am hoping that all goes as planned.

My weight this morning came in at 288.5 which is a 3 pound gain during loading. I am looking forward to tomorrow morning already to see how much I will drop after the first day. I do have great expectations but will try not to be disappointed if my expectations arent met.

I took the shot in the deltoid this morning. So far, so good as I am not hungry. The funny thing is that my mind is trying to tell my stomach to growl and feel hunger but my stomach wont listen. I am drinking a ton of water and tea to keep the hunger edge off. I guess I did well with the loading, as hard as it was to keep eating. I actually ate Burger King triple stackers, fries, ice cream, scrambled eggs and cheese etc... all the fat foods to fill those fat stores. I have no desire to be hungry and going out of Dr. S protocol is not optional.

Let me recap from start:

Received HCG Saturday morning with great excitement. I laid out all the mixing materials, re-read the protocol and commenced to mixing. I opened the ampoule and was concerned with glass falling into the solution but did not see any after adding the bac water. Now here is where it goes down hill...you see I ordered the 10ml bottles and was so excited about mixing it up that 1/3rd of the way through realized I could not put 24cc into a 10cc bottle...duhhh. Of course I am nervous about mixing it correctly as I decided to seperate into 3 small bottles. I hope I get the right serving.

I started loading Saturday through Sunday night. I actually like the fatty foods but will be quite fine not eating them any longer. I went grocery shopping for all the healthy goodness (just season the food to your liking) that is required. I had to buy a better food scale from Target which measures perfectly. So I went through and seperated my 100g servings of fish, shrimp and chicken into freezer bags for quick preperations. I figure baking, grilling, or boiling will get the job done and keep my meals diverse. Anyway...so far so good.

That is about all for now.
