Steak Day 4 - 1.8 lbs down

LIW Weight: 196.0
Today's Weight: 198.4
+/- LIW weight: +2.4

I guess bigger isn't always better. lol. The steak was huge, actually a steak and a half so I thought I would drop down to LIW this morning but nope I have to wait another day to see what the protein day will bring. What's cool is the fact that I gained 18lbs in 8 days and almost lost it all in 8 or 9 days. HOW is that possible?

I hope to be below LIW tomorrow but until then...

That's all for now...

P.S. Take a look at my friends blog...http://jlogonewrong.blogspot.com/.

Steak Day 3 - 3.2 lbs down

LIW Weight: 196.0
Today's Weight: 200.2
+/- LIW weight: +4.2

Well after actually gaining (.8lbs) on my mostly protein days it was time to do another steak day which delivered me closer to my LIW. I did another one today with hopes that I will hit the magic number in the morning. I think I drank about 300 ounces of water yesterday and today since I was in all day meetings preparing for that big steak (too big) and tomato. I am stuffed to the gill. lol.

That's all for now...

Steak Day 2 - 2.2 lbs down

LIW Weight: 196.0
Today's Weight: 202.6
+/- LIW weight: +6.6

As much as I was hoping for a 4lb loss like the first steak day, I will gladly take that reduction. I am almost there and hopefully by Tuesday morning's weigh in I will hit my LIW. Today will be another all protein day. Have a great Sunday.

That's all for now...

Protein Day 2 - 3.2lbs down

LIW Weight: 196.0
Today's Weight: 204.8
+/- LIW weight: +8.8

Another great reduction. I am looking forward to seeing tomorrow's results after this second steak day.

Have a great weekend.

Steak Day 1 - 4lbs down

LIW Weight: 196.0
Today's Weight: 208.0
+/- LIW weight: +12

Wowwww. How does this happen? Anyway I am just psyched about the downward spiral. The greatest thing is that I was not hungry while waiting to do my steak and tomato dinner. I actually had to cook a magnificent meal for my sons last night and avoided the temptations. My steak hit the spot so no worries there.

I am doing a protein day today and will do another steak day tomorrow to see if I will have a repeat of the last 2 days. Keep your fingers crossed. Until tomorrow...

That's all for now...

Protein Day 1 - 2lbs down

LIW Weight: 196.0
Today's Weight: 212.0
+/- LIW weight: +16

Well it was nice to see the trending down begin with doing protein all day with a little vegetable. I drank dieters tea for the last couple nights which have kept me active in the bathroom while flushing the bad foods out of my system. Today I am doing my first steak day with hopes of dropping at least another 2lbs and then another protein day to see if I can continue the trending down.

Here is what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast: Eggwhite omelet - 5egg whites / 1 yolk, bacon bits, cheddar cheese
Lunch: Grilled steak with string beans
Dinner: Grilled steak with string beans

That's all for now...

Gain weight...no problem, mon

LIW Weight: 196.0
Today's Weight: 214.0
+/- LIW weight: +18

Let me first say the gain was well worth it but still a bit shocking in a one week span. I knew it was going to happen and I could not resist my mother's cooking and the bun and cheese, fruitcake, dumplings, festival. All the things that make going home a wonderful experience. I will work deligently to get back to LIW before the end of P3 by eating all protein and having a few steak days in between the eating. If you have any other suggestions on getting this removed, let me know.

The trip was dynamite except for the fact they lost my luggage and when I finally got it back about 4 days later they had stolen more than half of my clothing. That was the only downside to the entire break. Thank God I was rightsized because all my brothers wear 36W and large shirts so clothing wasnt any problem. I guess it was just the inconvenience and now having to file paperwork to get reimbursed for the items stolen. All the stuff in my bag were new of course so they made out like a bandit.

When I came out the airport and approached my brother he did not know who I was and almost jumped back. He was wondering what happened to the rest of me. lol. My mother, brothers and sister were all shocked to see me and that felt really good. Then all the other family and friends that saw me last year were in disbelief that I was the same person at this time last year. Man, it feels so good to be almost slim. I do have a ways to go with getting all the fat off and especially after gaining this week am looking forward to my last round of P2.

The weather was fantabulous with the warm breeze blowing throughout the day and even a little cool in the evening. The beaches in Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios were beautiful and clear. I jumped off of a ten story cliff into the sea, swam in Negril beach, climbed Duns River Falls and ate like a king. The night activities were eventful with the night ending well into the morning hours. This was by far the best time I had hanging with my family.

I have to get updates from you crew today and now have my family looking to start HCG to get all the abnormal fat removed from their bodies as well. I will keep you posted.

That's all for now...

R2P2 Last VLCD Day

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
LIW Weight: 196.0
LIW Losses: 42.2
Total R2P2 Losses: -42.2
Total Protocol Losses: -92.5
Today's Weight: 196.0
+/- LIW weight: 0

Well folks the time has come to bid farewell to Round 2 Phase 2. I had a great run and although I did not reach my initial goal by 1 pound I am still in awe of where I am currently. I have no idea it would be this good as I cannot ever remember being the 100's. Thank the good Lord that he has blessed me to get physically fit and that I can bless others with his gift.

To reflect on this round I would first like to thank ALL of you that have taken the time out of your day to read my blog and a special thanks to those of you who left messages of encouragement and motivation. It has made it most enjoyable and by you sharing your journey it has kept me more driven than not having my HCG family to lean on. You guys are the greatest. This round was fairly easy to follow and my mind was a lot more focused than in round 1. I have learned to be patient and let my body do its thing and stop stressing over the zero loss or minimal gain days. They are still not comforting but at least easier to contend with.

As I move on to P3, I will continue to follow the protocol as closely as possible but will have a challenging time as I will be heading to Jamaica in the morning to visit my family and take care of some personal business. With that said, I will not have internet access but will post upon my return next Wednesday. This is a much needed break as things have been stressful at work and with dealing with my children rearing challenges.

I think I will do another round to release all the abnormal fat on my body in conjunction to hitting the gym. All of told me to lose no more but I have a plan and know that I will get a lot nicer and be able to really enjoy the shirtless season of summer. I will actually get some color this year since I will want to be outside more.

I will be posting some pictures today and will check with you all next week.

Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 197.6
Overnight Loss: 1.2
Total R2P2 Losses: -40.6
Total Protocol Losses: -90.9

Yes...I broke the 40 and 90 pound barrier. I am so stoked. lol. It is so wild that my goal weight when I started was 195 and I may make it there by LIW which will be Saturday. I will be traveling on Tuesday so it’s perfect as I have 2 more shots in the vial. I will just do a shot on my skip day. My folks continue to drop and I am so excited. I can't wait to share with you all their results.

Ed and Jenn - I am in straight shock and excitement but knew it would happen just not this fast. Hang in there Ed and you will hit the mark. I am so disciplined in this that I follow to the T. My menu varies but I eat a lot of tomatoes, fish, chicken, cucumbers, strawberries, grapefruits, apples and just started enjoying oranges. I also drink a ton of water and tea. Hope this helps.

I really love that almost full pounder as it helps get me to my goal weight. I am wondering if I will hit the mark since I dont have but 10 days left. Keep your fingers crossed for me to get that 195 magic.

I actually ate oranges for the last 2 days and was nervous as ever because I thought they were loaded with sugar. I know they are allowed but was fearful of the impact and I must say they didnt cause any issues so I can enjoy them without worry. I had strawberries last night and was also nervous about them as I thought they slowed me down earlier. I guess not.

There is not much going on here so...

I didn’t lose nor gain anything yesterday but dropped a little over a half today. Yeah for me...lol.

I did a ton of clothes shopping this weekend and yesterday. I bought all new suits, jeans, shirts, slacks and shorts. These were all in a 36 waist and even if I lose more that is a comfortable size to wear even with a belt. I don’t think I would feel comfortable in a 34 or medium. I still like the concept of the "almost" big guy and know when I hit the gym and start packing on the muscle I will fill out more.

There is one more round left in me and I may start after doing P3 and P4. I will decide after sticking with P3 for its time. I just want all the abnormal fat removed and don’t really care what the number is.

Comments:

Biz - Thanks again. I am hoping to hit 195 as my LIW.

Ed & Jenn - I know Ed can’t wait to get into a 36. It is so cool not to have those fat man sizes anymore. Keep at it and stay out of the crawfish and beer until you get slim. He has his whole life to eat that. I don’t really have a number but want the fat removed and get ripped. lol. People have been very complimentary on the new me especially since wearing cloths that actually fit versus swimming in my previous largeness.

B - I hope to continue falling until I hit the fat free zone.

Becca - Thanks for the comments and I know how you feel about people failing and taking it personal. I just take the hard-line with them and say failure is not an option and you must read the manuscript before I even help you. It has been doing well so far.

Well the bathroom break really paid off. lol. I tell you Dr. S. knows his stuff when he said you will go every 4 days. I definitely look forward to those 4 days. lol.

I had 2 more folks come on board today so the slimmies crew is growing. I feel so good helping each person and can't wait for them to get to their goals. I will keep you all posted on their progress.

I bought my first pair of 36W pants yesterday and even tried on a 34W and it fit me almost perfectly. I will wait on the the 34s.

Comments:

Ed & Jenn - I was a tight 42 waist and tight 48L jacket and wore XXL shirts. It really sucked and I hated every minute of it. I am now liberated.

Biz - I knew you would appreciate that and its just nice to know there is an end result.

Have a great Saturday.

LET THE CELEBRATON BEGIN....I HAVE OFFICIALLY BROKEN THE 80 LB BARRIER. YESSSSS SIR...

Thank the Lord, Dr. S, KT, Biz and all of my friends who have walked with me since day one. You guys are the best.

As much as the 80 is great I still have about 20 lbs to go before I think I will be ready for prime time. I really just want all the abnormal fat removed from me so I can enjoy the rest of my life without health concerns or avoiding all foods. I read everyone’s blog and just love the progress we are all making. I especially like reading Paul - Imago Embraced progress on P4 and cannot wait to enjoy the items he is enjoying and still losing the weight. I can't wait for us all to get there.

There are now 7 people, including myself, that are on HCG and all are having great success. I am still waiting for one who has the items to get started. The plan for a big celebratory dinner when all is at their goal weight is in the works. We are going to party and eat like is 1999. lol. I will get there first so have to stay focused so I can remain fine when they start to trickle in. I can’t wait for that.

Here are the stats from those mentioned above:

TB - 24lbs lost after R1
KB - 44lbs lost after R1
NP - 26lbs lost 1/2 way thru R1
RD - 21lbs lost 1/2 way thru R1
MD - 13lbs lost after 2weeks
RC - 3lbs lost after day 1

We are all on our way to slimville...

I had the greatest experience yesterday evening when I went to the store and tried on a suit coat and....it fit perfectly. It was a 42L which I don’t ever recall wearing. I called everyone to share my joy and am still walking on cloud 9. I did not buy a suit but bought 3 coats in L and XL.

Thanks Biz, E&J, CB, B, and Becca for the comments. 80lbs is truly a celebrated milestone and I promise I will post pictures when I hit my final goal as I have not wanted to take any as yet.

Comments:

CB: Glad to be back...I appreciate the support and know you guys would be there but I just needed a "personal day". I am there for you too when you hit the FUNK state. lol.

Biz: No problem with the recipe; let me know which one. Thanks for the support.

Ed & Jennifer: Thanks for stopping through. I know how Ed feels about the loss addiction and that is what makes avoiding the food easier. GIANTS RULE.

R2P2 Injection 26, VLCD Day 28

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 212.6
Missing In Action Loss: 7.6
Total Losses: -25.6

First off let's hear it for my beloved NY football Giants, 2008 Super Bowl Champions.

Well I am back from my absence of posting but never missed one day of reading each of your blogs. I was going through a funk with the protocol and at time contemplated taking a break but each time I got completely fed up I wound in the bathroom all day and experienced nice losses the following weigh in. I did not want to burden you all with my b*tching and complaining. Although I know you would continue to give me motivation and support I just didn’t want to seem ungrateful with the results. I have been working on keeping my mind right and not passing out each time there is a gain for zero losses for that day. I know I am doing everything right and just have to take the good with the bad, which is easier said than done. I even went and bought another scale to verify that things were where they were and they certainly were. Anyway, I am on from that.

I had a super bowl party at my house last night and the crowd was great. Let me tell you the food spread was fantabulous but I made sure not to even touch one thing. I actually didn’t eat my dinner due to the excitement of the game but did eat my apple and drank water. I guess eating a late lunch helped. I was cleaning and prepping the entire weekend. My house was very untidy so sort of did a spring cleaning. I also cooked my famous Chili, cornbread and Eggnog Cheesecake with caramel butter rum sauce. Sorry for sharing. I gather it was good because it took less then 2 minutes to have it all in everyone's mouth. It was a hit. The amazing thing was I was not even tempted to even taste it. I just know I will eventually be able to partake at a later date without the fear of gaining from what I ate. I did get a lot of compliments and advice to not loose any more but I will only stop when I am right in my mind. I am hoping by the completion of a 26 day round 3 I will have all the abnormal fat removed from me and hit the gym hard to pack on 30lbs of muscle.

Keep up the good work and share with you tomorrow.

Skip Day, VLCD Day 18

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 220.2
Overnight GAIN: .8
Total Losses: -17.8

I promised myself I was not going to post today because of this gain but decided to be true to the cause. I am getting frustrated with the regressive nature of the past few days as I cannot get into the teens. It seems like I am stair stepping for no good reason. I have not added anything into the protocol or done anything that would prompt a stall. I guess it is one that requires and apple day which will be done tomorrow simply because I didn't take the shot today.

Thanks to you all for support in this and I hope things will be on track tomorrow.

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 222.2
Overnight Loss: 1.0
Total Losses: -16

Another one bites the dust...I am just longing for the teens and hope to get there by Wednesday, if not sooner. I got a lot of compliments and urgings to not lose more weight but only I know where I want to be so I say thanks and keep forging ahead. It would be ideal for me to have all the abnormal fat removed by the end of this round but don't know if that is going to happen. I may have to day a 23 shot round after my P3. We will see. though as it is a little early to worry about that.

Biz - I did not exercising and that may have corrected the issue. This is the first plan I have been on where exercise causes a negative affect.

B - Thanks for the kudos.

Marshall - I shot you an email this morning. I hope it helps. Hang in there.

R2P2 Skip Day, VLCD Day 12

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 223.2
Overnight Loss: 1.2
Total Losses: -15

Well I made it into the black today. I am just happy to see a loss and hope it continues. I did eat a regular size apple and a handful of strawberries yesterday. Not sure if that would have caused a correction but will see what happens tomorrow as I follow the same trend.

R2P2 Injection 9, VLCD Day 8

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 223.6
Overnight Loss: 1.4
Total Losses: -14.6

It's deja vu all over again. lol. The same loss as yesterday. I wish I could keep this as my minimal loss on a daily basis. Its amazing how greedy we get when things are moving along.

I have been so full this morning and I have not done anything different. I am drinking the same amount of water and tea as every morning. I did make sure I ate my apple at 10:30 to keep things consistent. I try to do everything at the exact same time each day. For instance tea and water by 9:30, apple 10:30, lunch 12:30, dinner 7:00 and snack at 8. Not sure if it matters but it does make it easier.

I bought these huge organic golden delicious apples yesterday and had one last night for snack and this morning for breakfast. I hope I am not causing any sabotage by eating this large fruit. I think I read the size of the apple doesn't matter (lol) but you cant eat 2 apples. Let me know if I am off base with that. The good thing is I only bought 4 of them. Let me tell you they are really good.

Thanks all for your responses to my exercise thought. I may just take the advice and hold off until after this round. The thing is I don't want to be too skinny (that was funny) and have to start from scratch in the gym so thought it would be good to possibly do the light weight training. CB has the same thought with regard to muscle regeneration due to limited protein intake. I have decided and started last night to do push ups and crunches before going to bed and when I awake. I figure I can start at 25 reps for each and then increase from there. I will keep you posted on how it affects me. Myfattycakes has a great idea on the jumping rope or running and I will check with her to see how she feels.

My friend that started on Saturday lost 2.5lbs after her first VLCD day.

Marshall: I will shoot you an email this evening to discuss.

CB: thanks for checking on me and keeping me motivated. I will take your advice and take it easy. I do have the rest of my life to exercise while on P4.

B: Thanks for stopping in and checking on me. You are doing well so keep it up.

Biz: As always thanks for being the great supporter that you are and checking in on me.

R2P2 Injection 8, VLCD Day 7

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 225.0
Overnight Loss: 1.4
Total Losses: -13.2

Thanks Biz and cb for checking in on me. This is why in this round I no longer worry about the gains because as Biz stated your body makes the automatic corrections. It is a good loss for the week and hope to keep it moving.

I was considering going back to the gym and wanted to get feedback on if this is a good idea or not. How will it affect the number on the scale as you increase muscle mass. You burn more calories with added muscle mass so would that be a positive since HCG provides all the needed calories to go through the day. The other concern is whether the amount of protein is enough to promote muscle repair after lifting. Please share and maybe Biz can add this to her FAQ list.

My fried has created her blog and I would ask you all to check in on her for me. Her address is http://myfattycakes.blogspot.com/ She has lost 5.8 in two days and is on the right track. My other friend is not doing a blog so I will try to share her progress with you all. She did gain 3.5 on P1 so we will see what happens after today's first VLCD day.

R2P2 Injection 7, VLCD Day 6

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 226.4
Overnight GAIN: .6
Total Losses: -11.8

Whoa....where did that come from? I guess my theory on foods is wrong. Its funny how I always say I am not going to try to figure this out and each time something good or bad happens I try to figure it out. Well I have to not worry about it and accept it as maybe a set point that my body may be used to. No worries though.

R2P2 Skip Day, VLCD Day 5

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 225.8
Overnight Loss: .8
Total Losses: -12.4

I had an interesting experience with the scale this morning. It's that fluctuation thing again and after all that I settled on this weight. We will see how it goes on tomorrow's weigh in.

I decided to eat tomatoes as my vegetable to see if the weight will revert back to the larger losses. I just did not feel all that great eating the cabbage so decided to give the tomato choice a shot. I will let you know if it makes a difference.

I brought another friend on board that started today so a total of 5 of us experiencing the HCG lifestyle. I will keep you posted on their progresses.

R2P2 Injection 6, VLCD Day 4

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 226.6
Overnight Loss: 2.2
Total Losses: -11.6

Another success and so far so good.

I wonder if it makes a difference whether you eat the same foods for a period of time versus varying the meals. The reason I ask is I have been eating fish and a tomato for each meal and have had very good results. Today I decided on do chicken and curried cabbage. Today is also my skip day and so far so good. I am anxious to see what the result will be tomorrow and test my theory. lol.

R2P2 Injection 5, VLCD Day 3

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 228.8
Overnight Loss: 1.4
Total Losses: -9.4

Another successful loss.

I have my friend on board starting this morning. She was nervous to take the shot but now its smooth sailing. She has no hunger at all but I am encouraging her to load properly so she has no hunger during VLCD. There are still a couple friends who are considering starting but remain apprehensive. When the time is right I am sure they will be on board.

My friend and her brother finished their first half 0f the 40 days and you can surely tell they are dropping. Their pants are falling off and they may need to get some temporary pants until they hit their goal weight. Its going to be a great summer for us all.

R2P2 Injection 4, VLCD Day 2

Start of R2P1: 1-05-08
Start Weight: 238.2
Today's Weight: 230.2
Overnight Loss: 2.8
Total Losses: -8.0

Another good loss. I am now below LIW and enjoying the downward trend. I have promised my mother that when I come back to see her in March she will not know who is at her door. She was quite surprised when she saw me at Christmas. If I can repeat the previous results I will be right where I need to be to build up the muscle mass. My hope is that I wont need a quick follow up round to get rid of all the abnormal fat.

B and Biz, thanks for checking on me and keeping me motivated.

Not much else to really report so...

Total Losses: -5.2

Had a great time loading and it showed with an increase of 6.2lbs over LIW. I did feel forced fed but its now behind me. lol. After my first day of VLCD I dropped 5.2lbs leaving me 1lb over LIW.

LAST DAY OF P3 AND 1st LOADING DAY

LIW Weight: 232
Today's Weight: 232
Gain / Loss: 0

Hello everyone and Happy New Year to you all.

It has been quite a while since I last posted but the holidays have kept me quite busy and since returning home I can now get back on task of posting and toasting you all.

A quick recap of P3:

I ate very well on P3 which included various non P3 foods. I was in Florida with my mother and cooked and baked daily for a week. Needless to say I had to sample my own foods which led to the consumption of many decadent "bad for you" foods. lol. The greatest part is when I weighed myself this morning I was at LIW. Its amazing that the most I gained was 2 lbs over the 3 weeks and now I am at LIW to start my second round which began this morning. Yeeeaahhhh for me.

The loading is difficult because I can only consume but so much food before I feel over full and uncomfortable. Thank God its just 2 days and then on to VLCD. I will be as, if not more, diligent in the second round and will try not to have the same expectations of my first round. I think taking it day by day is best and not really looking back to compare results should keep me motivated and on track.

I have to update you all on my two friends that started a few weeks ago. My friend lost 23 lbs so far and her brother, who is leaving me in the dust, lost 20lbs in the first week, 11 in the second and 8 in the third for a total of 39 in 3 weeks. He has become my motivation.

I will post again on Monday when I start VLCD.

That's all for now...
