P3 Day 4 and 5

LIW Weight: 232
Today's Weight: 232
Gain / Loss: 0

Thanks to you all for your comments on P3. I have been experimenting just a tad bit but have made protein the main portion of my meals. I have been trying to make sure I have enough fiber in my body to keep regular, hence the reason for the cereals and high fiber toast. I did stop eating the cereal and bread in the morning but did eat some cornbread with my dinner. Please understand it was not a large piece but more like a 2 inch square.

What did I eat:
Monday - egg white omelet w/cheddar and turkey breast, apple, chicken breast, string beans, bacon cheese burger, strawberries, 150 oz water (I did lose one pound after eating this but gained it back last night)

Tuesday - egg white omelet w/ cheddar and turkey breast, apple, 2 slices baked ham, slice of roast beef, 1 spoon potatoes, green salad w/ FF vinaigrette dressing, strawberries, chicken breast, string beans, steamed plantain, strawberries (dinner), piece of cornbread (made it for my kids and HAD to taste it), 150 oz water. lol.

If you look at those 2 days, it is primarily protein. The potatoes and the plantain are the only items of concern which I rarely eat. I will probably eliminate these items since I got my fill and don't want to risk anything going haywire.

P3 Day 2 and 3

LIW Weight: 232
Today's Weight: 232
Gain / Loss: 0

P3 has been interesting thus far. I have been dieing to eat a few forbidden items and did partake of some while avoiding others. The bonus weight I lost on the last VLCD has been recovered. I will make sure I stay within this weight the best I can.

What did I eat:

Saturday - 1/2 cup fiber cereal w/skim milk, egg white omelet w/ Cheddar and turkey breast, 1 slice whole grain bread, apple, Kashi bar, bowl of chili w/cheddar cheese and piece of corn bread.

Sunday - 1 cup fiber cereal w/ skim milk, egg white omelet w/ cheddar and turkey breast, 1 slice whole grain bread, apple, 4 small meatballs, 4 chicken wings, 1 tablespoon BBQ pulled pork, cup of chili w/ piece of cornbread and a few spoonfuls of cheesecake.

Sounds like a heck of a lot and probably why I gained what I did from the last weight. I attended a friends holiday party and there was quite a bit of food that did not make it on my plate. I did not drink as much water as I usually do and that too was a factor.

Let me share with you my cooking. I made a huge crock put of chili. This was the best chili I have ever had in my life, if I must say so myself. I won best dish at the holiday party. I also make homemade cornbread, unbelievable. Finally the cheesecake, my God this was good. It was and eggnog cheesecake w/ rum caramel sauce. I over did myself on this one and won first place in the dessert category as well. I really love when my food comes out good but love it more when people enjoy it. My boys are my best critics and I take pride in feeding them. They loved it all.

Ok, back to earth now. It has been interesting and tempting so far and I cannot wait for Jan 5th to get restarted. I did get quite a bit of kudos for the loss and all the friends saying don't lose more but I have a plan and they will be in amazement when I get done.

Also, I loaded my friend and her brother and they will be VLCDing it today. I will let you know how their first day goes.

P3 Day 1

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
LIW Weight: 232
LIW Losses: 56.5
Today's Weight: 229.2
Overnight Loss: 1.2
Total Losses: -59.3

Another loss of 1.2 on P3 day. Almost 60lbs in seven full weeks. I have never in my life had this great of an impact. Thank the Lord for this blessing. I will be moving my stats to the right and will be tracking the LIW and gain/loss. Thanks to all of you who read my blog and share your thoughts and comments. I will continue posting daily and then resume P2 Jan. 5th. I will have a few friends coming along for the experience.

Thanks Biz for the advice. You are such a wealth of knowledge and Dr. S. would be proud. lol. I did decide to follow the good Dr and start P3 this morning. I will post my menu tomorrow, hopefully with food data. I am really gunning for a balanced attack but with a focus on protein and fiber intake.

There is one thing I am happy about with P3 and that is the ability to apply lotion after a shower. Man my skin was happy. Mineral Oil just doesn't moisturize as well and I am happy with the return to skin moisturizing. Of course there are other benefits and I will speak on them as they are experienced.

Well off to finish my final exam.

VLCD Day 54

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
LIW Weight: 232
LIW Losses: 56.5
Today's Weight: 230.4
Overnight Loss: 1.0
Total Losses: -58.1

Still going!!!! Another pound gone overnight. This is too nice.

Tomorrow is the start of P3 but I am considering doing one more day of VLCD because I do not feel the hunger that many have experienced transitioning to this phase. I am wondering if all the HCG has been removed from my body. Has anyone else done this? If so, let me know how you felt. The 72 hour rule is a bit confusing to me because you take the hcg, you have basically a skip day and then one more day for it all to leave your system. What I am gathering from this is it only take 1 day for the HCG to leave your body. Biz, please enlighten me. I will post tomorrow how I feel and what my decision will be. I have been dieing for some chili so maybe that desire will dictate my decision. lol.

VLCD Day 53

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
LIW Weight: 232
LIW Losses: 56.5
Today's Weight: 231.4
Overnight Loss: 0.6
Total Losses: -57.1

Thanks ladies for your input on the LIW. I have updated the tracking to reflect LIW and will continue to track the losses / gains throughout phase 3. I am not sure how I will be reporting my daily numbers as it tends to add too much to the post. I did lose .6lbs yesterday and not sure what today and tomorrow will bring. I may use that beginning P3 weight as a secondary LIW. I think it would keep me motivated.

I went window shopping yesterday and it was nice to try on smaller sport coats and suit coats. Of course you really can't buy anything when you know by end of February who knows where you will end up. I did however buy a couple pairs of shoes. Some of my normal size shoes were big on me so I guess you lose fat in your feet too. lol. I better be careful as I may have to re buy at a smaller size.

Injection 47 (LAST ONE), VLCD Day 52

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 232
Overnight Loss: 0.2
Total Losses: -56.5

Well folks today was my last injection for this round and 72 hours of VLCD. It comes at the most perfect time as there a many events coming up this weekend that I will be participating in . Saturday is P3 day and I have my menu all figured out. I will be focusing on protein intake, limit carbs and fats. I am also considering hitting the gym for the 3 weeks. I am not sure what the impact will be on me keeping withing the LIW. By the way I have to get a better understanding on the LIW number. I imagine it would be my weight on the morning of P3 because you still lose until the HCG is out of your system. Please let me know if I am wrong.

It has been a marvelous run and I am so grateful to God, Dr. Simeon, Kevin T. and HCG. This has been a blessing for me and I sing he praises of it daily. I have shared with countless people who although see the results in me are still naysayers. Man, what a mentality to have. They will always be stuck in this rut and keep trying the things that will show no result. I just hope their eyes open and make shedding the bad fat a priority. With all the ailments that come along with being obese I don't know why folks don't get it. Anyway, i will keep them in my prayers.

My friend and her brother will be starting on Saturday. I am very excited for them and will make sure I keep a very watchful eye on their progress as this is coming from my recommendation. I figure they have about 3 or 4 rounds to go and will be there for them no matter what.

I have to order more now but cant seem to get the free shipping from DD. Anyone know the coupon code to use? Please let me know.

Injection 46, VLCD Day 51

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 232.2
Overnight Loss: 1.0
Total Losses: -56.3

Another one bites the dust. 1 complete pound lost overnight. Great result. There maybe something to this tomato thing after all. lol. Thanks to CB and Biz for the comments. Biz, you may be right about the body getting confused with the introduction of something different. I will keep it going though. Nothing to really discuss today so...

Injection 45, VLCD Day 50

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 233.2
Overnight Loss: 1.6
Total Losses: -55.3

Wooooowwww. Didn't expect that but I will embrace and give thanks. I think there is about 2 or 3 shots left in the vial and the more I lose the more I just want to stay on the HCG. I just cant wait for January 5th to get back on but in the mean time I can"t wait to see what happens tomorrow.

It is funny how I too look in the mirror and admire the person looking back at me. Your confidence level goes through the roof when you see such a great improvement. Its like Marshall was saying about the clothes. I did the same exact thing this weekend. I cleared all the size 42 pants out of my closet and will be donating them to charity. I would much prefer to donate the knowledge of the protocol to the masses. My XL shirts are fitting fairly loose but I wont change those out until I reach my goal. I told my mother she will not know who I am when I visit for Christmas. I can't wait to surprise her.

Do tomatoes have anything to do with increasing the loss? I am not sure but I have been eating tomatoes as my vegetable of choice for the past 4 days. I will keep eating them until I am done with this phase.

Injection 43, VLCD Day 48

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 235.2
Overnight Loss: 2.2
Total Losses: -53.3

Gimme a whoop whoop. A loss of 2.2lbs. I could not wait to share with my HCG family. I am so loving this and wish I could just keep going but I know I have to take a break.

Have a great Saturday.

Skip Day, VLCD Day 47

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 237.4
Overnight Loss: .6
Total Losses: -51.1

Another .6 bits the dust. Nice move in the right direction. I have been feeling so full for the past couple days and have to remind myself to eat. That is amazing in itself. lol. I look forward to seeing what results present themselves tomorrow.

Thanks Marshall, B and Biz for the advice. The thing is I remember always being 235 for a major part of my adult life so trying to get there would be ideal. I really don't want to waste the HCG and having only about 4 more shots it might be worthwhile to see what happens. I know it is not a race and am assured that I will reach my goal but it feels so good to see even that .2lb drop in the morning. I am addicted. lol.

I have this bittersweet feel about getting to phase 3. Its like I am looking forward to it but am afraid of the the unknown results. I see some folks struggle to stabilize their weight but I also see people who have no issues. P2 makes things so easy by giving you a set solution that you must follow and you see the results. P3 gives you more freedom and you must be cautious in your decisions. We will see.

Injection 42, VLCD Day 46

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 238.0
Overnight Loss: .2
Total Losses: -50.5

Another .2, man things are getting slow. It seems as if I am going to crawl to the end of this round. I am hoping to drop 3 more pounds before starting phase 3 but I hope my body will oblige me.

Biz, I know what you mean about he stall but what is KWIM? I put my foods in fitday.com and it returned 502 cals so I am not going over on the calories. I will just have to put away the foods I have cooked and measure raw again for the next week. What do you guys think about me not taking a skip day since I am no where near immunity? Let me know your thoughts on that one.

Injection 41, VLCD Day 45

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 238.4
Overnight Loss: .2
Total Losses: -50.3

Every little bit counts so I will take the .2 and run with it. lol.

I have been full for the past couple days and have to almost force myself to eat to get the 500 calories. The water keeps me motivated because I know once those fat cells fill up they will will leave my system for good. I keep looking forward to the next major drop and the flush that comes with it.

I have to confess that I started weighing my food after cooking it. I am not sure if that will cause any issues. Since I grilled the fish I am not certain if the 100 grams is too much. When you put your food choices into Fitday the calories are not always correct unless they have uncooked as the choice. When I weighed the food with the 100g after cooking it it would be about 85 to 90g so not sure how that impacts the loss. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5

I guess after this success my body is taking its time. lol. This is about where I was for a while, a set point, and will take its time to move beyond this. We will see what happens.

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 238.4
Overnight Loss: 2.4
Total Losses: -50.1

50.50.50, a half century has been removed from my waistline. What a monumental goal. Thank God, Dr. S and HCG for this milestone. It feels like such a relief to almost be at 235, which was where I have been most of my adult life. I can wait to break through that goal and keep on truckin'.

Biz and Amy thanks for checking on me and cheering me on. I have about 8 more days of HCG left and I will then jump on P3. Keep cheering for me as I approach the finish line of Round 1.

I have finally gotten my friend and her brother on board with the protocol. We ordered her supplies last night and will be ordering the HCG this week. DD sent me an email about specials for the holiday so we are waiting to see how much of a savings they will offer. I will share with you folks when they share the information.
