Injection 27, VLCD Day 29

Start of Phase 1: 10-20-07
Start Weight: 288.5
Today's Weight: 250.6
Overnight GAIN: .6
Total Losses: -37.9

UGHHHH, over a half pound gain and I have no idea how this happened. I promised to stop trying to figure it out and let it be. I did take the time to reread the manuscript to see if there was anything that I may be missing but nothing. Oh well, such is life.

Let me ask you readers a question. Do you think putting Jergens lotion on my kids face or spreading a little Vasaline on his lips would cause a gain? I think I will purchase some latex gloves to use when doing this again. Just to eliminate any possibilities.

Thats all for now...

I had to give some thought to your blog today. I did not want my comments, of what I am about to post, to get read the wrong way or misrepresented. So all you pervs out there, get your mind out of the gutter!

First of all, your gain is just a hiccup in your overall weight-loss picture. This is all I am going to say about this (remember, I was up down, up down, my entire P2).

Secondly, every morning after my son's "bath" night, I swear I noticed a slight gain. Maybe this was just coincidence or maybe it was something else. After my son (3 year old) takes a bath, I dry him off then apply J&J Baby lotion (lavender scent) to his body and vaseline to his lips/nose area. I would also on occasion us Vick's Vapor rub if he was stuffy. Now, I thought about wearing gloves or asking my husband to apply the lotion but then I had a couple of thoughts:
1. I enjoy this time with my son and it is a bonding experience. He is at such a precious age and wearing gloves would be terrible. What would he think?
2. God forbid something where to happen to him, I would feel terrible for not touching him more and my last thoughts with him, I was wearing gloves...NO WAY!
3. You can't live life in a bubble. Wash your hands after applying lotion. I just have to believe that karma would not have you gain weight for applying lotion to your child!

This is my 2 cents...coming from someone FREAKING out on a minute by minute basis over P3, funny how freely my advice is flowing, Ha!

Anyway...I had the same thoughts you did and I choose not to wear gloves (I averaged .78 daily loss).

Good Luck and sorry about all the "women" stuff posted on my blog lately. I'm sure you want to gag! (Sorry for my spelling, I'd give anything for spellcheck right now!)

Check you later-

Wow, that was a fascinating comment CB. I didn't use any oils or lotions. I did use some makeup & lipstick. I took one vit E capsule daily. I couldn't tell that these affected anything. I will pay more attention to this on my next round.

Hey dude! I am back and was hoping to catch up with you. Couldn't have said it any better than what CB said, so I will just say, go you! Like she said, it's just a hiccup!

So glad to be back and I truly appreciate the support you have given me on my journey.

One more thought..switch your son's lotions to Organic. Burt's Bees has a children's line of products.
